Victoria Newson will be talking about her experience with ‘la francophone et la belle France’, from a brief overview of the history of France and the French language within Canada, her French schooling within a non French province, to her time in Aix En-Provence and travelling through the south of France.  Victoria will discuss her recent archaeological fieldwork that took place in France over the last couple of years, as well as her ethnic study focussing on pre-industrial vine growth and wine processing within the arrondissemant of Provins.
