Fête Noël, our celebration of the season

A film in French, with English subtitles, to ease us into 2016 Les Intouchables, a film in flashback where Driss, a young black man fresh out of prison gets a job as a carer to paralysed wealthy paralysed aristocrat, Phillippe.  Everything about the two men divides them, background, culture and language. Yet, their respective handicaps bring them close binding them in a long lasting and unselfishly beneficial friendship.  There is no room in this story for pity or compassion, laughter…
